The consumer price index (CPI) in June 2025 increased by 0.48% against that of May 2025, due to the increases in the prices of the subgroups of rental properties, construction materials, and the increase in the domestic fuel prices due to the rising crude oil prices. The CPI of June 2025 increased by 2.02% as compared to that of December 2024, and up by 3.57% against the same month last year.
The price indices of ten groups of commodities and services increased, while the price index of the group of postal services & telecommunication decreased.

The average CPI for Q2 of 2025 increased by 3.31% in comparison with that of Q2 of 2024. The average CPI for the first six months of 2025 was up by 3.27% in comparison with that of the same period last year.
The core inflation in June 2025 increased by 0.31% against that of the previous month, and up by 3.46% over the same month last year. The average core inflation for the first six months of 2025 increased by 3.16% in comparison with that of the same period last year, lower than the average CPI increase of 3.27%. The main reason for this difference is that the increases in the prices of the groups of food and foodstuff, electricity, and medical services have contributed to the CPI increase, but those commodities are excluded from the commodity list used for the core inflation calculations.
