On October 8, 2026, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) organized a ceremony to announce and hand over the SBV Governor’s Appointment Decision appointing a Deputy Director General of the Central Banking Department.
The ceremony was attended by SBV Deputy Governor Pham Thanh Ha, representatives of several SBV units, and officials of the Central Banking Department.

At the ceremony, Mr. Le Viet Hung, Deputy Director General of the Organization and Personnel Department, announced the SBV Governor’s Decision appointing Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Tra as Deputy Director General of the Central Banking Department. Her term of office is five (05) years, starting from October 6, 2026. Prior to her appointment, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Tra served as Head of the Non-Financial Infrastructure Division under the Issue and Vault Department.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Governor Pham Thanh Ha congratulated Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Tra on her appointment, which reflected the SBV leadership’s trust in her professional capabilities and contributions. The Deputy Governor expressed his confidence that, in her new position, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Tra would continue to further develop her professional capabilities, expertise and experience, while upholding a strong sense of responsibility to successfully fulfill her assigned duties.
