On the morning of June 1, 2020, the Banking Academy organized a solemn Ceremony to announce the Decision recognizing the Council of the Banking Academy for the term of 2020 – 2025, which comprises of 17 members, and handing over the Decision recognizing the Council President of the Banking Academy to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Minh Phuc.
Attending the ceremony, on the side of the SBV, there were Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Anh - Member of the Personnel Board, Secretary of the Central Bank Party Committee, SBV Deputy Governor; Mr. Tran Viet Bac - First Deputy Secretary of the Central Bank Party Committee; Mr. Dang Van Tuyen – Director General of the SBV Human Resources Department; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Director General of the SBV Finance and Accounting Department.
On the side of the Banking Academy, there were Dr. Bui Tin Nghi - Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Academy; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Luyen, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Thi Kim Hao, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Que - Deputy Directors of the Banking Academy, and all the teachers, scientists, key officials of the Academy.

At the ceremony, Mr. Dang Van Tuyen – Director General of the SBV Human Resources Department – announced Decision No. 999/QD-NHNN recognizing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Minh Phuc as President of the Council of the Banking Academy, and Decision No. 997/QD-NHNN dated May 27, 2020 recognizing the 17-member Council of the Banking Academy for the term of 2020-2025.
On behalf of the SBV Party Committee and the Board of Management, Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh handed over the above Decisions to the relevant personnel. This is the first Council of the Banking Academy, an important and meaningful milestone for the next phase of its strong development, especially when year 2021 will mark the 60th anniversary of the Banking Academy’s foundation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh said, in order to strengthen the organization and operations of the Banking Academy towards promoting its autonomy and self-responsibility, implementing the provisions of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Higher Education and Decree No. 99/2019/ND-CP dated December 30, 2019 elaborating and providing guidance for the implementation of a number of articles of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Higher Education. After having finalized the process of establishing the Academy’s Council, based on the reports and recommendations of the Academy’s Board of Directors, the SBV's Personnel Committee has agreed and the SBV Governor has issued the Decisions recognizing the Banking Academy’s Council and President of the Council for the term of 2020-2025.
“The first Council of the Banking Academy stands for not only a high honor but also a major responsibility as the comprehensive leader of the Academy in all fields, being responsible before the law, to the competent management agency and the parties concerned for its decisions, exercising accountability and being subject to the social supervision. In order to perform these responsibilities, the Academy’s Council has to really become a united team for the development of the Banking Academy, develop a high reputation and receive wide support from not only all officials, lecturers and employees in the Academy, but also the state management agencies, the relevant organizations and the whole society”, the Deputy Governor stressed.
Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh also expressed his beliefs that with their experience, knowledge and reputation, the President and members of the Academy’s Council, together with the Party Committee, the Board of Directors and the entire faculty and staff of the Banking Academy, will strive to build a strong and united team, accomplishing successfully the tasks assigned to the Banking Academy, so that the Academy can maintain its position as one of the most prestigious training institutions in Vietnam in the field of finance and banking.

Speaking at the ceremony and on behalf of the Council of the Banking Academy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Minh Phuc expressed his deep gratitude to the SBV Personnel Board, the SBV Board of Management, the Ministry of Education and Training, and all officials and staff of the Banking Academy for their trust through assigning new responsibilities, and said that it was both an honor and a great responsibility. The Banking Academy’s Council commits to work closely with the Academy’s Board of Directors, all of its officials and staff, in order to continue the good traditions and the excellent results that have been achieved, in an effort to bring all of their energy, intellect and enthusiasm, striving to help the Banking Academy become a strong, important and prestigious training institutions in the country, the region and the world.
