Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Circular No. 48/2014/TT-NHNN dated December 31, 2014 on the SBV’s statement and provision of information. This Circular replaces Circular No. 35/TT-NHNN dated November 11, 2011 on the SBV’s disclosure and provision of information and Circular No. 18/12/TT-NHNN dated May 28, 2012 to revise period of disclosure of several types of information stipulated in Circular No. 35/2011/TT-NHNN.
This Circular is applicable to the SBV’s entities and staff and officials; and organizations and individuals acquiring information from the SBV.
This Circular includes 4 chapters and 17 articles as follows:
Chapter I: The general provisions include 2 articles (Article 1 and 2) stipulating governing scope and implementers.
Chapter II: The regulations on statement and provision of information for mass media include 6 articles (from Article 3 to 8) stipulating contents of statement and information disclosure to mass media; spokesperson and providing information for mass media; form of periodic information disclosure; statement and disclosure of information in unexpected and unusual cases; media interviewing; and authorities and responsibilities of the SBV entities and individuals.
Chapter III: Provision of information for other organizations and individuals include 6 articles (from Article 9 to 14) stipulating recipients of information; information coverage; jurisdiction of information providers; form of information disclosure; responsibilities of relevant entities and individuals; and offering information belonging to the list of state secrets.
Chapter IV: Terms of execution include 3 articles (from Article 15 to 17) stipulating reporting responsibilities, effective date and implementation.
This Circular will take effect from February 15, 2015.
