Press release on issuance of Circular No. 19/2021/TT-NHNN
Hanoi, November 24, 2021 – The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has issued Circular No. 19/2021/TT-NHNN amending and supplementing a number of Articles of Circular No. 01/2014/TT-NHNN dated January 6, 2014 issued by the SBV Governor regulating the delivery, preservation, transportation of cash, precious assets and valuable papers.
This Circular is composed of three (03) Articles, with the following specific amendments and supplementations:
- Amending and supplementing the regulations in Article 11 on cash delivery and receipt within the banking industry.
- Amending and supplementing Paragraph 1 of Article 12 on accounting for cash delivered and received in line with a transfer order by the SBV for the money already in circulation.
- Amending and supplementing Point b of Paragraph 2 of Article 26 on the authorization of the management of cash, precious assets, valuable papers and the vaults at other locations beside Vault I.
- Amending and supplementing Paragraph 1 of Article 48 on the responsibilities for delivery arrangements, with a supplementation of the task of delivery arrangements of cash, precious assets and valuable papers by the SBV provincial branches in Phu Tho, Nghe An, Binh Dinh and Vinh Long.
The Circular will take effect from January 8, 2022. This Circular shall abolish Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 1 of Circular No. 12/2017/TT-NHNN dated August 31, 2017 amending and supplementing a number of Articles of Circular No. 01/2014/TT-NHNN dated January 6, 2014 issued by the SBV Governor regulating the delivery, preservation, transportation of cash, precious assets and valuable papers.
