On February 10, 2023, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Decision No. 186/QD-NHNN and Decision No. 187/QD-NHNN revising the office address substances in the Licenses for the establishment of a foreign bank branch issued to Citibank, N.A. – Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) branch and Hanoi branch.
In Decision No. 186/QD-NHNN, the SBV Governor has approved of the revision of Paragraph 2 of Article 1 of License No. 53/GP-NHNN dated February 20, 2013 issued to Citibank, N.A. – HCMC branch, to read as follows: “Address of the head office: 15th Floor of Sunwah Building, No.115 Nguyen Hue street, Ben Nghe ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City”.
In Decision No. 187/QD-NHNN, the SBV Governor has approved of the revision of Paragraph 2 of Article 1 of License No. 86/GP-NHNN dated August 16, 2019 issued to Citibank, N.A. – Hanoi branch, to read as follows: “Address of the head office: 12th and 13th Floors of Horison Tower, No.40 Cat Linh street, Cat Linh ward, Dong Da district, Hanoi”.
Citibank, N.A. – HCMC branch and Hanoi branch are responsible for ensuring the conditions of their head offices as stipulated in Paragraph 3, Article 23 of Circular No. 40/2011/TT-NHNN dated December 15, 2011 on granting licenses to commercial banks, foreign bank branches, representative offices of foreign credit institutions and other foreign institutions with banking operations in Vietnam (as amended and supplemented); implementing the regulations on registering and publicizing the revised substances in compliance with Paragraph 4, Article 29 of the Law No. 47/2010/QH12 on Credit Institutions dated June 16, 2010 (as amended and supplemented).
These Decisions took effect from the date of signing and are integral parts of License No. 53/GP-NHNN dated February 20, 2013 issued by the SBV Governor to Citibank, N.A. – HCMC branch, and License No. 86/GP-NHNN dated August 16, 2019 issued by the SBV Governor to Citibank, N.A. – Hanoi branch.
