Fifteen (15) classes in total have been organized in Hanoi, Phu Yen, Bac Ninh and Ninh Binh, attracting the participation of 448 learners, including high school, college and university students, members of cooperatives, rural youths, etc.
Mr. To Huy Vu, Director General of the International Cooperation Department, speaks at the Ceremony
In order to continue to support the Banking Academy to organize 15 additional training classes on Savings Game, the SBV International Cooperation Department and the SBFCI had agreed to sign an Addendum to the MOU.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Christian Grajek expressed his pleasure with the implementation results of the MoU, and noted that the year 2020 marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany. The two countries have been maintaining a “Strategic Partnership” in various fields. With the Vietnam – EU Free Trade Agreement signed recently, the commercial relations between Vietnam and the EU have been more strengthened, of which the cooperation between Vietnam and Germany is one of the most important factors because within the EU, Germany is Vietnam’s largest trading partner. Development cooperation is an important component of this relationship, focusing on sustainable economic development, environmental and resource protection. He said that the banking sector plays a key role in helping Vietnam achieve the sustainable development goals, especially the well-educated graduates of the Banking Academy, as future employees of financial institutions, would contribute to the development of sustainable institutions and uphold the social responsibilities. The implementation of training classes at the Banking Academy under the guidance of the SBV has been a positive step and he hoped to further expand this successful cooperation in the future.
Mr. Christian Grajek, representative of the SBFIC, speaks at the Ceremony
Based on the good evaluation of the results of the training program, the SBV and the Banking Academy had suggested the SBFIC continue the knowledge transfer, supporting more ToT courses at the Banking Academy on advanced programs of the SBFIC, such as the Micro Business Simulation, and other financial education models developed by the SBFIC in order to expand the beneficiaries to potential customers of the micro-finance programs, projects and institutions, workers in companies, small trading households, etc.
