Press release on Circular No.18/2016/TT-NHNN
The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Circular No.18/2016/TT-NHNN on June 30, 2016 to revise Circular No.21/2012/TT-NHNN of the SBV Governor dated June 18, 2012 stipulating the lending, borrowing; purchasing and sale of valuable papers among credit institutions and foreign bank branches.
The Circular consists of 2 articles with the main contents as follows: (i) the implementers; (ii) general principles for the conducting of transactions; (iii) lending interest rates; (iv) Methods for indentifying the price of repurchase; (v) responsibilities of relevant entities; (vi) validity; (vii) abolishing several provisions of Circular No.01/2013/TT-NHNN dated January 07, 2013 that revised Circular No.21/2012/TT-NHNN.
The Circular shall come into effect from August 22, 2016
