The consumer price index (CPI) in July 2025 increased by 0.11% against that of May 2025, due mainly to the increases in the prices of the sub-groups of construction materials, food, meals and drinks out. The CPI of July 2025
The core inflation in July 2025 increased by 0.21% against that of the previous month, and up by 3.3% against that of the same month last year. The average core inflation for the seven months of 2025 increased by 3.18% in comparison with that of the same period last year, lower than the average CPI increase of 3.26%. The main reason for this difference is that the increases in the prices of the groups of food and foodstuff, electricity, medical services and education services have contributed to the CPI increase, but those commodities are excluded from the commodity list used for the core inflation calculations.
