Press release on issuance of Circular No. 15/2021/TT-NHNN
Hanoi, September 30, 2021 – The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has issued Circular No. 15/2021/TT-NHNN amending and supplementing a number of Articles of Circular No. 16/2012/TT-NHNN dated May 25, 2012 providing guidance for a number of Articles of Decree No. 24/2012/ND-CP dated April 3, 2012 of the Government on the management of gold trading operations.
The new Circular is comprised of 4 Articles with some fundamental contents as follows:
- Providing guidance on the procedures for issuing the License of importing gold materials to enterprises with foreign investment to produce gold accessories, fine arts in accordance with the national single window mechanism.
- Abolishing the procedures for amending the enterprise's information on the License for buying and selling gold bullions, and these procedures shall be replaced by a reporting requirement applied to the enterprises and credit institutions whenever there is a change on the relevant information.
- Simplifying some regulations on the required dossiers, procedures applied for gold trading operations.
The Circular will take effect from November 20, 2021.
