Press release on issuance of Circular No. 01/2022/TT-NHNN
Hanoi, January 28, 2022 – The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has issued Circular No. 01/2022/TT-NHNN amending and supplementing a number of Articles of Circular No. 21/2013/TT-NHNN dated September 9, 2013 of the SBV Governor on the operational networks of commercial banks.
Circular No. 01/2022/TT-NHNN is composed of four (04) Articles, with the following key substances:
- Amending and supplementing the regulation for changing the name of a branch; the procedures for the SBV's approval of a change in the location of a domestic branch or a transaction office of a commercial bank; the regulation for the inauguration of a domestic branch or a transaction office of a commercial bank.
- Amending and supplementing the regulations for the implementation of a relevant regulatory simplification plan related to the business operations under the jurisdiction of the SBV.
- Amending and supplementing a number of Articles and provisions to ensure consistency with the applicable regulations on the functions and duties of the Banking Supervision Agency and the SBV municipal and provincial branches.
- Amending and supplementing other substances to be consistent with the practical situation of the network systems of the commercial banks.
This Circular will take effect from March 15, 2022.
