The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has issued License No. 1686/GP.HAN-TTGS2 dated June 16, 2023 permitting the Shoko Chukin Bank Ltd. to establish its representative office in Hanoi.
Accordingly, the SBV has approved of the request of the Shoko Chukin Bank Ltd., which is headquartered at No. 2-10-17 Yaesu, Chuoku, Tokyo 104-0028, Japan, to establish its representative office in Hanoi, with details as follows:
Full name: The Shoko Chukin Bank, Ltd. Hanoi City Representative Office.
Location of the representative office: in Hanoi.
Operational duration is: five (05) years.
Also in the License, this representative office is permitted to conduct the following operations: functioning as a liaison office; conducting market researches; facilitating projects invested by the Shoko Chukin Bank Ltd. in Vietnam; promoting and monitoring the implementation of contracts and arrangments signed between the Shoko Chukin Bank, Ltd. and Vietnamese credit institutions and/or enterprises, and projects financed by the Shoko Chukin Bank, Ltd.; other operations in conformity with Vietnamese laws.
During the operations of its representative office, the Shoko Chukin Bank, Ltd. shall comply with the applicable laws of Vietnam.
The License is valid from the date of its signing.
