On October 10, 2023, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) – Hanoi branch issued Document No. 2986/HAN-TTGS2 announcing the expiration of the operational duration of RHB Bank Berhad – Representative Office in Hanoi.
According to the Document, RHB Bank Berhad – Representative Office in Hanoi had been established in accordance with License No. 269/GP-NHNN dated October 9, 2008 of the State Bank of Vietnam, and had got its operational duration extended twice at Decision No. 461/QD-NHNN dated March 11, 2014 and Decision No. 43/QD-NHNN dated January 8, 2019 of the SBV. Its head office was located on the 15th Floor, IDMC Building, No.18 Ton That Thuyet Street, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi. Accordingly, the operational duration of RHB Bank Berhad – Representative Office in Hanoi was until October 9, 2023.
According to Paragraph 15 of Article 1 of Circular No. 11/2020/TT-NHNN dated November 2, 2020 of the SBV revising a number of Articles of Circular No. 24/2017/TT-NHNN dated December 29, 2017 providing for the sequences, procedures for the revocation of licenses and the liquidation of assets of the credit institutions, the foreign bank branches; the sequences, procedures for the revocation of licenses of the representative offices of foreign credit institutions and other foreign institutions with banking operations in Vietnam, the SBV – Hanoi branch has announced the expiration of the operational duration of RHB Bank Berhad – Representative Office in Hanoi, starting on October 9, 2023.
