On September 22, 2025, in Hanoi, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Pham Quang Dzung received Mr. Okada Hiroshi, Director for Japan - Vietnam Relations at the Japan Financial Services Agency (FSA), and the accompanying delegation during their working visit to Vietnam.
Deputy Governor Dzung welcomed the delegation and thanked the FSA for its continued interest in Vietnam. The two authorities have maintained effective cooperation in sharing experience and information on banking inspection and supervision. The SBV also expressed appreciation for the FSA’s support over the past 15 years through the annual training program at the Global Financial Partnership Center (GLOPAC), which has provided important opportunities for SBV inspectors and supervisors.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on global economic prospects amid the impact of tax policies from major trading partners, as well as topics of mutual interest including sustainable finance and fintech applications.
Mr. Okada reaffirmed the FSA’s commitment to long-term cooperation with the SBV, particularly in information exchange on inspection and supervision, green finance, and digital transformation. He also pledged continued support for training and capacity-building for SBV officials.
