Nonetheless, the SBV Deputy Governor and BOL Director and Executive Chairman agreed that the collaboration between the CIC and BOL so far has been limited to just the exchange of information of enterprises for the purpose of seeking market and investment cooperation opportunities between the two countries’ enterprises. This collaborative relationship should continue to be strengthened in order to have more important information exchanges for assessment, economic cooperation enhancement, investment, anti-money laundering, etc., thereby helping credit institutions of each country prevent and control credit risks as well as facilitating enterprises and individuals to get access to financial services in Vietnam and Thailand or in other countries.
In addition, Deputy Governor Nguyen Kim Anh expressed his hopes that, in the coming time, BOL would cooperate with Vietnam with regard to the strategy of developing the banking industry, the application of international standards to the banking operations. At the same time, BOL and the CIC would formulate plans of exchanging cross-border information and sharing information with other APEC member economies.
