According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO), the consumer price index (CPI) in November 2020 increased by 0.01% against that of October 2020; up by 0.08% as compared with that of December 2019 and up by 1.48% in comparison with that of November 2019.

Specifically, the prices of three out of eleven groups of commodities decreased, in which the group of traffic registered the highest decrease of 0.47%; the group of postal services & telecommunication decreased by 0.17%; the group of culture, entertainment and tourism went down by 0.06%
The price indices of the remaining groups increased: the group of footwear and hat increased by 0.14%; the group of housing and construction materials went up by 0.07%; the group of beverage and cigarette increased by 0.06%; the group of food and catering services rose by 0.05%; the group of household appliances and goods increased by 0.03%; the group of medicine and healthcare was up by 0.01%; the group of other commodities and services rose by 0.12%. The price index of the group of education did not change compared with last month.
Also according to the GSO data, the average core inflation for 11 months of 2020 was up by 2.43% as compared with that of the same period of 2019.
