On September 8th, 2017, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Decision No.1903/QD-NHNN amending and supplementing the License of Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (aka Techcombank).
Accordingly, the SBV Governor approved the revision of Point 8 of Operation License No.0040/NH-GP issued by on August 6th, 1993 granted to Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (aka Techcombank) as follows: “Trading and providing foreign exchange services in the domestic and international market within the scope stipulated by the SBV”.
Techcombank is responsible for: (i) Providing the mentioned-above services in compliance with applicable laws and other relevant regulations; (ii) Implementing procedures in line with Item 3 of Article 18 of Circular No. 40/2011/TT-NHNN dated December 15th, 2011 on granting license to commercial banks, foreign bank branches and representative offices of foreign credit institutions and other foreign credit institutions with banking operations in Vietnam (as revised by Circular No. 08/2015/TT-NHNN dated June 30th, 2015).
This Decision took effect from the date of signing and is an integral part of Operation License No.0040/NH-GP issued by on August 6th, 1993 granted to Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (aka Techcombank).
The contents related to foreign exchange activities in Item 1.8, Article 2 of Decision No.143/QD-NH5 dated August 6th, 1993 on the issuance of Operation License to Techcombank; Certificate of Eligibility for foreign exchange services provision No.3075/NHNN-CNH dated April 28th, 2009; Certificate of Eligibility for foreign exchange services provision No.3076/NHNN-CNH dated April 28th, 2009 and other documents on approving foreign exchange services of Techcombank ceased to be effective from the date of signing this Decision.
