Press release on issuance of Circular No.20/2020/TT-NHNN
Hanoi, December 31, 2020. The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has issued Circular No.20/2020/TT-NHNN amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular No.47/2014/TT-NHNN dated December 31, 2014 of the SBV Governor providing for technical requirements for the integrity and security of equipment used for bank card payments.
The new Circular is aimed to amend and supplement a number of regulations on the integrity and security of equipment used for bank card payments in line with the rapid and diversified development of the IT industry and the cyber security situation in the banking sector.
The new Circular is structured the same with Circular No.47/2014/TT-NHNN, and just provides for the following amendments and supplementations:
- Amending Paragraph 9 of Article 2, Item d of Paragraph 1 of Article 3, Item c of Paragraph 3 of Article 3, Paragraph 1 of Article 6, Item e of Paragraph 4 of Article 6, Paragraph 6 of Article 10, Item c of Paragraph 1 of Article 14, Paragraph 1 of Article 15, Item b of Article 1 of Article 17.
- Supplementing Paragraph 5 of Article 4, Paragraph 8 of Article 5, Item i of Paragraph 1 of Article 18.
The new Circular shall take effect from February 15, 2021.
