Press Release on issuance of Circular No.17/2015/TT-NHNN

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Circular No.17/2015/TT-NHNN on October 21 on stipulating the system of bank codes utilized in banking operations.

The issuance of this Circular aims at creating the base for the integrated data base among SBV’s operational systems, towards the objectives of avoiding the duplication and waste, and improving the accountability of entities in the implementation of bank code information system.

In addition to meeting the practical demand, the Circular is issued to improve transparency and enhance the quality of public administrative services of the SBV.

The Circular will take effect from July 1, 2016.
