The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Decision No. 2111/QĐ-NHNN on October 28, 2016 to extend the operational coverage of the license of the Viet Capital Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Viet Capital Bank).
Accordingly, the SBV Governor has approved the revision of Point 8 of License No.0025/GP-NHNN dated August 22, 1992 for Viet Capital Bank as follow:
(i) Credit granting via domestic factoring; (ii) Account opening for customers; (iii) Providing domestic payment services including: Providing payment facilities; providing cheque payment services, payment orders, standing and encashment orders, credit letters, bank cards, cash in, cash out…; (iv) Account opening including: account opening at the SBV; account opening at other credit institutions and branches of other foreign banks; (v) Internal payment and participation in the national inter-bank system; (vi) participation in the bidding, purchasing and sales of Treasury bills, negotiable instruments, government bonds, SBV bills and other valuable papers in monetary market; (vii) Issuing deposit certification, bonds, treasury bills and bonds to mobilize capital in accordance with the Credit Institutional Law, Vietnam Securities Law, the Government’s regulations and SBV guidance; (vii) Being trust, trustees agents in the fields related to banking activities in line with law and SBV guidance;
Viet Capital Bank is responsible for implementing the additional operation in compliance with SBV regulations and relevant laws; and complying with Item 3 Article 18b, Circular No.40/2011/TT-NHNN dated December 15, 2011 issued by the SBV Governor on granting license and organization, the performance of commercial banks, branches of foreign banks, representative offices of foreign credit institutions and other foreign organization with banking operations in Vietnam (revised by Circular No 08/2015/TT-NHNN dated June 30, 2015).
This Decision took effect from the date of signing and is an integral part of License No.0025/NH-GP dated August 22, 1992 of Viet Capital Bank.
